Starting The Great Blizzard and Finding Olaf
To begin this quest, players must unlock the Frosted Heights biome using Dreamlight and speak with Merlin about the strange storm. Investigating the area leads players to a hidden stone door set within the northern cliff face. Inside the secret chamber, you will meet Olaf, who needs help recovering his stolen nose, buttons, and missing arms from mischievous dark squirrels.
Crafting the Dreamlight Prism and Gathering Gems
After catching the squirrels and using the Royal Watering Can to uncover memories, players are tasked with crafting a Dreamlight Prism using Glass, Purified Night Shards, and Shattered Prisms. Once placed on the center pedestal inside the chamber, the portal requires three additional gemstones arranged in rainbow order to function properly. These three missing gems are Citrine, Emerald, and Amethyst, which can be mined from specific biomes across the Valley.
Where to Mine the Required Gemstones
Citrine can be extracted from rock spots located in either the Glade of Trust or the Sunlit Plateau. Emeralds are routinely gathered by mining nodes in the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust. Finally, Amethyst can be found by breaking rocks within the Frosted Heights or the Forgotten Lands.
Arranging the Gems and Restoring the Pillar
Back inside the secret chamber, interact with the pedestals surrounding the portal to deposit the gems in their correct sequence. Place the Citrine on the left pedestal between red and yellow, the Emerald on the back right pedestal, and the Amethyst on the front right pedestal. With the portal fully activated, whisper a secret into the magic doorway to retrieve the missing Orb and restore the Pillar of Love in Frosted Heights.
